Jewellery Sale

And the winners of our Mother’s Day Raffle were: 1st prize Betty Rawlings, 2nd prize Laura Elliott. Thanks so much to Dingley Village residents and beyond for your support at the Mothers Day Jewellery sale outside Woolworths on Saturday. The money raised will make a difference to those less fortunate.

ANZAC Dawn Service

A large crowd attended a terrific community event at the ANZAC Dawn service as we remembered those who have served our country in past and present conflicts around the world. The ANZAC Public Speaking competition winner Rebecca Prince from Mentone Girls Grammar gave the ANZAC address. President Greg Wragg, in addition to many Dingley Village community leaders placed wreaths in front of the memorial to honour those who did not return from overseas conflicts.

ANZAC Schools Service

The ANZAC Schools Service is an opportunity for our local Primary Schools to attend an ANZAC Day Service. The event was well attended with not only the primary school children but also many parents and grandparents.

ANZAC Kindergarten Service

For the third year running our Rotary Club has run a special ANZAC Kindergarten service for our local kindergartens students. In the lead up to the service the children learn about animals that were used during the Gallipoli conflict. Of particular interest to the children at the service is the appearance of ‘Patrick’ the donkey which gave the children the opportunity to get up ‘close and personal’ with Patrick. Of course Patrick loved the extra attention.
